    metro pcs?????????????
how much does metro pcs charge to convert a phone to metro? how does their family plan work? can i activate a phone that i recently found?

    • CM says:

Its costs $35. It can not be a phone that has a SIM card. If you have super cool features on it (I’ve got the LG Voyager), everything will be wiped out. It wont even accept your memory card with downloaded songs or pictures. Metro totally wipes EVERYTHING out of your converted phone. You wont have pic messaging capabilities either. HOWEVER, if you have the HTC Diamond, you will have no problem with any of the above. You can even get email on the phone, but you have to take it to the right person to program it to use those features.

They currently have a family plan (in our Tampa area), 4 lines for $80….no kidding! However, when my husband wanted to add another line to get the 4 line family deal, he said it wasnt worth it, because text messaging was extra, among other things too. For a single phone, its $35 a month.

      Good luck!

I was wondering how is Metro Pcs for a phone company? can you still use it if youre out of town?how much is texting? what is youre fav phone by them and why but not the raazor they disconteued it :( thank you!

    • So Sophisticated says:

It is awful. Your call drops every 10 minutes. No you cannot use it out of town and texting is an extra $3 a month which is not bad. Their best phone is the Motorola L7c SLVR . It’s nice, sleek, and cute but Metro PCS sucks. Go with T-Mobile. With a new activation you can get a NICe free phone! :)
